I have a rooted LG G2x phone. Strangely, the update was stuck at %4. I tried it a bunch of times and it continually was blocked at that point. I thought I would read of more people having the problem. What got me by was doing the following:
- Shutdown the phone.
- Rebooted holding down the VOLUME DOWN and POWER.
- Release the power when you see the LG logo.
- Note: This puts up a screen that says S/W Upgrade, Please wait while upgrading.
- Then plug in the USB and waited for WIN7 to load the drivers.
- Clicked restart on the Phone Updater
- Done!
Hopefully this helps someone else out there!
Enjoy Android 2.3.3!
This method worked for me, too after being stuck at 4% after a number of tries… thanks for writing it up!
Glad it helped!
win7 does not found my device when my phone is in S/W Upgrade, Please wait while upgrading
Does it stay stuck at 4% or just not recognize it at all?
Yep, same problem.
At S/W Upgrade screen, plugged in my phone into USB and windows doesn’t recognise it.
Stuck at 4% happened to me too. I tried to update a couple of times with the same result. I know that the updater installs the baseband first so I thought that, although the update got stuck at 4%, it might have installed the new baseband. I did an NVFlash restore which installed a ROM and the phone booted with the new baseband. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644
Core,
I am curious – do you know of anyone that has upgraded to newer versions of android? Past the LG official update?

I also had this problem and I didn’t know how to fix it. I’m trying to upgrade one more time and I’m wondering when did you actually unplugged your phone ? Step 4 suggests to PLUG IN your phone so that means you’ve been unplugging it.
Don’t know if that makes sense, I don’t speak english.
Hi I have a problem to flash my LG Optimus F6 phone with LG flashtool, the procedure always
stops at 4% at the update stage. Help me please.
